My philosophy and belief about our selves and our abilities is quite simple...we have the strength we need to survive and thrive through most anything.

Our brains and bodies protect us during painful or difficult events by suppressing emotions that need to be expressed and processed. When life is overwhelming and intimidating we do what we need to survive, often resulting in unhealthy choices or coping strategies.

We all experience times when we need to be reminded of our own strength and power that can help us regain control of our behaviors and emotions. We are resilient beings capable of achieving and sustaining positive change.
 
My practice involves a blend of talk therapy and experiential work, which has proven to be highly effective in treating various issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and anger. I believe in order to move forward and be successful we need to heal our mind and body, so I often challenge clients to try techniques that address both areas.
