I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and have been since 2008. I have been working with individuals and families in a variety of clinical settings for 10 years.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and effectively use this in conjunction with somatic interventions to treat clients who have experienced significant trauma such as physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, as well as grief and loss. My expertise is working with adolescents and their families, adult and children struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and those having difficulty with anger and anxiety. I also have extensive training and experience working with families using therapeutic visitation to repair attachment related issues that have negatively impacted the parent-child relationship. Other areas I am experienced in include intensive home based family therapy, therapy focused on child protection issues, and working with adolescents beyond the control of their parent.
I pride myself in the strength-based, client centered approach I use with my clients and am recognized for my use of humor, gentle confrontation, and ability to hold families and individuals accountable.
